CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Amr Marei, Egyptian striker, leads Etoile du Sahel to a great 2-0 win over Ahli Tripoli in the second leg of African Champions League quarter-final.
Étoile du Sahel and Al-Ahli Tripoli crossed swords in a 2017 CAF Champions League second-leg, quarterfinal showdown at the Stade Olympique de Sousse on Sunday evening.
Amr Marei was the protagonist as he scored twice for his Tunisian side and helped them to qualify to the semi-final in the African Champions League.
The game started with some waves of attacks from the Tunisian side as they play in front of their fans. Successfully, Marei headed the first goal in the net after a beautiful cross from his teammate in the 14th minute.
He doubled the score for him and his team in the second half from another stunning header inside Ahli`s net.
The first match was held at Borg Al Arab stadium in Egypt on Sunday, September 6. The match ended with a goalless draw 0-0. The Tunisian side preferred to get back to Tunisia without conceding any goal to make their job easier.
Etoile du Sahel is set to face Al-Ahly in the Stade Olympique de Sousse in the first leg of the African Champions League.
The match will be held in one of the following days (September 29, 30 or October 1). The second leg will be at Borg El Arab stadium in one of the following days (October 20, 21, 22).
